Stitching In Public Day

I betcha didn't know that Friday, September 3rd is
"Stitching In Public Day"
Yup, it's true... check it out, the fine folks over at Feeling Stitchy used one of my pictures to represent!

Wooohooo! Maybe I oughta come up with a new motto for the occasion, something like...

1.  WWAPS? (What Would Alicia Paulson Stitch?)

or

2. I fear no stitchery!

or

3. Honk if you want to see my Lazy Daisy.

or

4. I carry needles!
ooh, maybe that last one's too much...
Anyway, get out there and stitch lovies, let's share our mad skillz with the world!
Have you stitched in public?
Tell me about it, I'd love to hear your stories!
oxo,
Lisa

WWAPS-- you are too funny! I don't think I've ever stitched in publice. Oh wait- I kind of have. I stitched on my lunch break in my car a few times. Hmmmm... I might do that today!

Hugs,
Jill

How fun to find your blog! Yes, I've stitched in public, usually in my car while waiting for kids, sometimes at the ballet school. People always make comments like "my grandma used to do that," which makes me feel really old and un-hip sometimes.

I've stitched on a plane, years ago when it was still "legal" to take all that stuff with you. And I always stitch when we're traveling. Love your blog.

I stitch all the time while I keep my in-school suspension room. The kids get a kick out of it, and the teachers are always bopping in to see what I am up to. That is the good part of no longer being up in front of a classroom teaching. Now I sit in my rocker, stitch, and wait for the little darlings to get thrown out of class and sent to me. I am very lucky to have such a job and such a NICE boss!

Hi Lisa...you may be surprised to know that I stitch in public on a regular basis! hee hee
My DS is a competitive trampolinist, and trains too far away for me to sneak home. So I sit in the gallery at his gym and stitch my little heart out. Sometimes my girls (aged 9 and 6) bring their stitching projects too. I get lots of comments, and even more funny looks...but I don't care :) I get lots done, and sometimes siblings of the kids who my son trains with come and pull the needle through for me...it's very cute :)
