Ah summer, I would know you even if you weren't scorching me... you give me headaches. Sinus headaches to be exact. Some days I can feel them even before i wake up. They stink.
Today was *that* kind of day, so I stayed home from work. It's just as well, I would have been useless...
Happily the day wasn't a total loss! Last night I harvested a bunch of zucchini from the garden, and today I made bread, lots and lots of zucchini bread. Three batches! The last two loaves are still in the oven. Suprisingly, my headache is almost gone too. Maybe making zucchini bread is the key to ridding sinus headaches, hehe (along with copius amounts of Advil Cold & Sinus).
I also got to work on my quilt a little. Just a small amount of piecing for the back, the top is complete! All thats left is the actual quilting (scary!) and the binding (for which I will be taking a class).
I'm pleased with it do far, here's another little peek!
What are y'all up to today? Hope it's something better than a headache!

Lisa

Hey Lisa, hope your sinus headache is better. I usually drink herbal tea to help relieve mine, but I can't remember which one! Your quilt looks pretty; binding is fun -- I like the hand work! :)
Lisa, Sweetie:
So sorry to hear that you suffer with sinus headaches. How crummy is that?! I absolutely LOVE your quilt top. The top and back fabrics are scrumptious! Which fabric line did you use? It's just perfect! Can't wait to see it finished.

Hi Sweetie Pie!
I hope by now you've eaten a bunch of that yummy looking bread, warm with some butter (oh heaven!) and your icky headache is gone! Oh, just I hate headaches!
Your quilt is looking just BEAUTIFUL!!! You are a brave one...I've never tried sane quilting, where you have to be so precise with sewing...and you know my sewing machine and I truly hate each other, which doesn't help matters!...I know this going to be gorgeous when it's done, it already is!!!
You're so inspiring Lisa...even with a headache!
Sending hugs,
Paulette xoxo
Glad you are starting to feel better! I love zucchini bread!! I should make some too.
Zucchini bread, what a good idea. I'm just wondering what to do with my glut of them. I've just had my hair cut so feel quite glamourous at the moment.
