I had no intention. None whatsoever, to make myself a little quilt for Christmas.
My mother made me do it.
How, you ask? This.
Santa Claus on a scooter, that's how.
Seriously, how am I supposed to resist this? You guys know I ride a fire engine red Vespa, right? I'm a sucker for all things scooter, and my mom knows it.
There I am innocently working away at my office yesterday, and my mom sends me a picture from her cell phone of this fabric. She was at JoAnn's... with coupons! I was powerless.
Twenty minutes later I was with her, and we were picking coordinating fabrics.
Gah! As if I didn't have enough to do...
I blame Mom.
Isn't it the cutest though?!? I think I'm going to quilt this by hand, just by outlinging the girls and santas with a running stitch in coordinating thread. Should be pretty fast... I hope.
Wish me luck!

Lisa

I don't know what's cuter, this fabric or your enabler mom!! ♥
NO WAY!!!!!! Oh Lisa...that is the cutest fabric! And the green polkadots? Get outta here! You'll have it whipped up in a flash, because you won't be able to put it down :) Your Mum sounds like she's pretty cute too :)
OMGOMGOMG!!! That is soooo cute-- and so perfect for you. I can't wait to see what you create!
Hugs,
Jill
Sounds like the thrill I get when I come across a new teacup or teapot theme fabric. :-)
The scooter fabric is great and I really love the coordinating fabrics and colors. I think your quilt will be terrific.
Lucky you to have such a sweet enabler Mom!!! The fabrics are wonderful. Did I know you ride a Vespa? Can't remember, but that's way cool.
So cute! I can't wait to see the quilt!
