Have you ever sat down to start on a project, but then you just couldn't do it? That was me last night... I had the whole house to myself, three episodes of Dancing With The Stars to catch up on, room to stretch, knew what I wanted to stitch, even have it all sketched out. Just couldn't do it...
I felt like this picture looks, blurry and confused...
I got nothing done. Zip, zero, zilch.
Lola didn't mind...
This might also explain why there always seems to be an errant pet hair in my macro photos.
After three and a half hours of doing nothing but staring at my squares, it was bedtime. This might have been the laziest night I can recount in... months? On a positive note, I'm all caught up on DWTS. Wow, Shannon Doherty... wouldn't have thought she'd be the first one to go... even though she was God awful... Do you guys watch Dancing With The Stars? I love it... it's a secret obsession. Don't tell anyone, ok? :o)~
Ok, so I'll try again tonight, hopefully my stitchers block is over.
Toodles,
Lisa
Totally understand! I am amazed Buzz is still on. I am fascinated by his wife's face. Don't you just feel like you could put a push pin in it and she wouldn't feel a thing?
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't believe how many evenings I just sit and stare at my sampler. It takes me forever to just go for it. I think that's why I'm so behind!
ReplyDeleteI'm a reality tv girl... love DWTS, American Idol, and some others that I'm embarrissed to admit! Couldn't believe that Shannon went home. Thought it would be Kate or Buzz.
Hugs,
Jill
This happens to me too. I am much more creative in the morning and that is when I stitch. I am too burned out at the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteLove your stitching.
I hate blocks but they happen to every one...don't fight it, you'll be inspired again soon. I first saw your squares on the 39 squares Flickr and fell in love with your work. You are so talented and I've loved every block you've stitched. Do you have a square for Lola?
ReplyDeleteDWTS is the only reality show I watch and I really love to watch for the dancing. I wasn't surprised about Shannon and I think she was relieved but I couldn't believe that Kate is as bad as she is! I'm sure she won't last long. Evan is my favorite so far but I have a hard time believing that another skater would win...oh my, see how involved we become-LOL!
I'll ber watching your stitching~
Joyce
I have two projects that are sitting in my stitching chair, waiting for me since Monday. :-/ I'll get to them soon enough. I totally know how those days are. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd say Lola has the right idea -- what's the best thing to do when you're tired or need a break? Just do it. Methinks we put too much pressure on ourselves sometimes, you think?
ReplyDeleteI don't watch the show, but I know lots enjoy it. Glad you had a chance to watch. You didn't feel guilty, did you?
And thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a 'footprint' in my comment box. It was lovely to hear from you.
Hey Sweetie! You've been doing so great with your beautiful stitching...it was just time for a little resty-pooh!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Kate is still in! Pamela totally cracks me up, I hope she stays for a long while!
xo Paulette ;)
Don't worry... by tomorrow you will have a gajillion ideas and not enough blocks to stitch them in! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe all have those "blocks" Lisa...and it's all good :) There are so many of your squares that I love, but I think the Vespa is just too cool! You are doing an awesome job...I am very inspired by your stitches! Oh....and loving your patchwok too!
